Many people will tell you that they go above and beyond to help their clients. Joanne Kurnik goes so far beyond that level of customer service that it is humbling. She has an amazing compassion for her clients. She once went to a borrower’s employer to ask him to change the client’s position from temp to full time so she could qualify for the loan. The employer complied and the client is now a proud home owner.
Joanne recently brought that compassion, along with 13 years of finance/mortgage expertise, to Atlantic Bay. She says, “I become a friend to my clients and let them know I do care about them. I ask about their family and what they enjoy. I listen to their goals. I look at them and see where they are in life to determine which product best fits them.”
Joanne helps a lot of first time home buyers. She says, “First time home buyers have no idea what they are getting into. I like taking my time and educating them. I enjoy walking them through the process and making them as comfortable as possible. The reward comes at the end of the process when they are closing and getting their keys. They are always so appreciative. I feel very fortunate to help people get into their home where they are possibly going to raise their families.”
In addition to helping first time home buyers, Joanne has assisted many buyers who are moving from their first home into a new home. She also helps second home buyers, vacation home buyers, buyers of rural properties and military families.
